By downloading or using TeamUp, these terms automatically apply to you — please make sure you read them carefully before using the app. You're not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You're not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, translate it into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, remain the property of Isaac Perez.
Isaac Perez is committed to making the app as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app, or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you're paying for.
Your account
TeamUp uses Sign in with Apple to create and secure your account. You are responsible for keeping your device and your Apple ID secure. We recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your device — the process of removing the software restrictions and limitations imposed by iOS — as it could make your device vulnerable to malware, compromise its security features, and could mean the TeamUp app won't work properly or at all.
Acceptable use
TeamUp is a community for organizing and joining pickup sports. When you create events or interact with others, you agree to provide accurate information and not to post content that is unlawful, misleading, harassing, or that misrepresents the location, time, or nature of an event. You are responsible for the events you create and for your own conduct.
Events and in-person activity
TeamUp helps people find and organize in-person games. We do not host, supervise, or vet events or participants, and we are not responsible for what happens at any event. Participate at your own risk, use good judgment when meeting people you don't know, and follow all applicable laws and venue rules.
Location and connectivity
TeamUp uses your device's location and an active internet connection to show nearby games and keep your data in sync. Isaac Perez cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don't have location enabled or an active connection. If you're using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, your agreement with your mobile network provider still applies, and you may be charged by your provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection — including roaming charges if you use the app outside your home territory. In using the app, you accept responsibility for any such charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device, we assume you have received permission from the bill payer.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services that have their own terms and privacy policies, including Apple (Sign in with Apple and MapKit) and Supabase (backend database and storage). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms.
Updates and availability
At some point, we may wish to update the app. It is currently available on iOS, and the requirements for the system may change; you'll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Isaac Perez does not promise that the app will always be updated or remain compatible with the iOS version installed on your device. We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate its use at any time without giving notice to you. Upon any termination, the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end, and you must stop using the app and, if needed, delete it from your device.
Limitation of liability
We endeavour to ensure that the app is updated and correct at all times, but we provide it "as is." Isaac Perez accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying on the app or its availability, or arising from your participation in events arranged through it, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. You are therefore advised to review this page periodically for any changes; we will note changes by revising the effective date at the top of this page.
